Long time no scrap

I've been SUPER busy with so many other things that I have TONS of digital scrapping to catch up on! Here's a start:

Journaling: 1st year team practicing

This is Joshua's first year in ROTC at the high school. He joined one of the competition teams and their first chance to show off their skills was at this drill meet. Several branches of the military were represented, however our team is Air Force. They all looks GREAT performing the moves. Their pride in their unit and school shone for everyone around to take in. I was SUPER proud of him and his fellow cadets!

Best Friends Forever!!

So this evening I decided to snap a few shots of Hannah and her best friend, Bella. After I looked through the pictures I got I found one great one that I just LOVED! Seeing as how Hannah's your typical 11 yrs old, I figured a corkboard would be EXACTLY the type of thing that would be her style. So here's what I came up with:

What do you think? Like it?

Lasting Kiss

I just thought I'd play around with one of my favorite pictures of the hubby and I, tried to make it look all elegant-like. hehe

Journaling: What a happy and holy fashion it is that those who love one another should rest on the same pillow. -Nathaniel Hawthorne

Not really sure why I chose that quote, I guess I just liked it and couldn't find one I liked better about kissing. =)

Off to the races!

Journaling: This past Christmas we decided to have the 1st annual Moyer Mower races!! Meghan, Tyler, and Melanie were lined up ready to go and we had a runner (Uncle Gary) get in on the race at the last minute. Josh and Irish served as 2nd's in case anything happened to our drivers.

My aunt has a few lawn mowers that are inoperable and sitting in her back yard. So for some fun, we set up like we were racing them. hehe

Happy Halloween 2008

Journaling:
(on green background)
This year, as the past three, my kiddos took off to go Trick-or-Treat with their friends. They usually stop by at some point in their evening festivities (either before or after they've gotten loaded down with candy). I snapped a couple pics of them all dressed up and enjoying the night.

Bathing Beauty

Journaling: Two-year-old Tiffani decided one day to pass the time at Meme's house by searching her dresser drawers. Imagine her surprise when she found several of Meme's bathing suits fit her just perfectly!

I'm sure my niece will near die of embarrassment when she discovers these pictures are on the web!! hehe But I can't help it!! These are some of my all-time favorite pictures of her just being a kid! She looked SO adorable and was having so much fun modeling her fashionable creation!

A few poems

Years ago, when I was in high school and early college..I spent a lot of time writing poetry. So I decided to take some time and put these down on digital scrap pages. So here they are:

No one makes me feel
Quite the way I do
When I'm with no one else,
No one else, but you.

I pray this feeling lasts
Longer than they often say.
For I want to be with you,
And I want you to also want to stay.

You mean the world to me.
There's nothing I wouldn't do,
Nothing I wouldn't say,
To be wit no one else,

That is, no one else,
but you.

Few things can symbolize
The feelings that I have.
I can't really describe
Why these feelings are.

A dozen roses never say
As much as that one,
Single, solitary rose.
The feelings shared are special,
Feelings that come few times.

These are the feelings that I have for you.
Those of that one,
Single, solitary rose.
That will be the symbol of my undying love
For you, for always and forever!!
